Lead the Change – A Retrospective
From January 13th to 16th, 2026, Messe Frankfurt was held under the motto “Lead the Change” The heart of the textile world. For us at hum, it was a week full of inspiration, groundbreaking designs, and above all, special encounters. We'd like to take you along to our personal trade fair highlights.
Design Inspiration: Patricia Urquiola
An absolute highlight was the presentation by the world-famous designer and architect. Patricia Urquiola . Her installations at Heimtextil once again demonstrated how design and sustainability can merge into an inseparable whole. Her vision of materials that are not only functional but also emotionally engaging deeply inspired us. It is precisely this commitment to aesthetics and responsibility that we also incorporate into our hum collections.

Our passion project: Pillows that give warmth
We are particularly proud of an initiative we carried out together with our partner Trevira CS We launched a pillow donation campaign where participation was the main focus:
At our booth, visitors (and maybe you too!) could get hands-on and stuff pillowcases with high-quality filling material. We donated these handmade pillows to give children a little bit of comfort. The donations went to:
-
The Lions Club
-
The IFB Foundation
-
The organization Heartfelt warmth
These cushions have now found their place in various daycare centers, bringing a touch of cozy comfort to the daily lives of the little ones. It was wonderful for us to see how much joy everyone had in creating them together for a good cause. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped!

Our focus: ATRIUM & PATIO
Of course, our outdoor stars couldn't be missing. Amidst tomorrow's trends, we presented our classics:
-
ATRIUM: Timeless elegance in solid colors.
-
PATIO: Modern, two-tone accents for your outdoor living room.
It was impressive to see how well our weatherproof materials, with their soft indoor feel, fit into the visionary concepts of the trade fair. More information can be found here -> hum Outdoor Cushions
Conclusion: More than just textiles
Heimtextil 2026 showed us that change also means taking responsibility – be it through sustainable design or social projects that have a direct impact. We return to our factory with many new ideas and warmed hearts.
Our Hibiscus/Merlot outdoor cushion was selected and exhibited by a jury.
